The Countdown has begun!

The countdown has begun for our Annual Meetings on Sunday 26th April.

There are actually two meetings: the Annual Parish Meeting, which exists solely to elect Churchwardens, and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, where we receive the Annual Report and accounts, and elect Lay Members to the PCC and representatives to Deanery Synod.

Both meetings are usually quite short, often enjoyable, and will be incorporated into the 10:30am service at Saint Mark’s on 26th April. If you are not able to attend but would like to join the meeting online, you can view via our livestream and you can even interact by signing in to our Teams meeting!

If you would like to nominate someone for any of these roles — Churchwarden, Deanery Synod representative, or Lay Member of the PCC — you can do so either online via the website or using a paper form.

Paper nomination forms are available in both churches. Online nominations can be made at:https://www.parishofbasingstokedown.org.uk/nominations/nominee-form/

Please note that you must be on the Electoral Roll to nominate, second a nomination, or vote (if a vote is required). Also, do remember to check that the person you intend to nominate is willing to stand before submitting their name.
