Plans for the coming months…

As I mentioned at the APCM, I will be stepping back from ministry in the parish for a time of extended study leave or sabbatical from 1st July to mid October. This Sunday will be my last in the parish for a bit.

I’ll be around in Kempshott for some of the time and away on holiday and on retreat- do ask if you’d like to know more about my plans… obviously I’m happy to say hello if we bump into each other out and about, but I will be doing my best not to be in ‘vicar’ mode and won’t need an update on the parish, which will be in capable hands!

I’d appreciate your prayers that I can use the space to be refreshed in body, mind and spirit and have an opportunity to reflect more deeply on my own faith and journey. A huge thank you to everyone who is stepping up to allow me to take this time out.

Parish leadership

Kim will be working in collaboration with the Church Wardens team (Chris W, Sue H, Clare N and Primrose) and with Dave (LLM) to lead the parish over this time, ably assisted by the PCC and by Sarah in the Parish Office.

We have some visiting priests organised to assist with services- Pat (at Immanuel) and Denis (at St Mark’s). Please be aware that some things may need to be done a little differently to enable them to be manageable. Kim already has a busy ministry and works part-time- there is no way that she can also take on my full-time role as well! I’m sure that you will be kind and understanding…
