We recognise that young people face all sorts of challenges as they navigate life, and that it is good for them to support each other in their journey of faith.
The Message is a home group for older youth (school years 10 to 13), which meets on alternate Sundays in term time from 20.00 to 21.30.
“It’s an enjoyable and comfortable environment for the youth to further their understanding of God and their relationship with Him.”
Using the bible as a starting point, we aim to support and develop each young person’s relationship with Jesus. Our sessions typically involve games, bible study, Christian music and prayer, and can cover a variety of topics. Recent topics have included the Prayer Course and a DVD-based bible study on stepping out for God.
“It’s a fun place to talk to others and learn about God.”
There are usually some sort of snacks on the go, and we also meet together with our other youth group The Grid for socials such as a summer BBQ, bowling or our ever popular chip shop challenge.
“It’s a really fun and engaging, and helps youth to learn more about God and better their relationship with him.”
Please be reassured all appropriate DBS clearances are in place for all adults involved in this group. If you’d like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact the parish office here or phone us on 01256 840502.
