As you know, I spent a month in silence last summer… and found it hugely invigorating in connecting with God.
I know it’s not for everyone, but if you enjoy taking time for silence or would like to dip your toe in the water then you might like to join me for a guided meditation on Sunday 1st February at St Mark’s.
In fact, the plan is to offer my two favourite things back to back (with cake in the middle) and for anyone interested to join for one or the other or in coming to both…
4-5pm will be an hour of guided reflection- we’ll start with some lectio divina and move into Ignatian style imaginative reflection and quiet. Bring a notebook/journal to jot down any thoughts.
There will be tea and cake- please feel free to stay or go at this point… or arrive…
5-6.30pm will be tea and cake followed by an hour or so to be creative- for this session I thought we’d pick up on the ‘light’ theme of Simeon’s words and will be making foil lanterns to take away. A donation of £2 to cover materials would be appreciated.
There isn’t a sign up sheet… please talk to Nicola directly if you are interested in joining me for the quiet, the making or for both, or to find out more!
If you’re interested but just can’t make that date then please do say for any future planning.
