Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, it is hoped that everyone who takes part will:
Deepen their own relationship with Jesus
Pray for friends or family to come to faith in Jesus
Pray for the empowerment of the Spirit that we would be effective in our witness
Look out for the all new material to encourage you in your prayer life this year… a prayer journal, a novena (a more reflective prayer journey) and some Cheeky Panda books for your children, grandchildren and their friends… do take some to give away!
Praying for Basingstoke Down
As part of Thy Kingdom Come we’ll be launching an opportunity to pray around the parish, this will be supported by the Oikos ‘Hope for Every Home’s’ prayer app. The aim is to pray for every street in our parish and to encourage all of us to get into the habit of praying in our own way.
